Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager who will independently engage, interact and manage strong partnerships with a range of counterparties. The role requires an ability to analyze and explore new markets and opportunities, identify their business potential while clearly representing and articulating our value proposition in the process.
As a business development manager, you’ll focus on enhancing business growth by fostering and developing relationships with various value adding counterparties – customers, suppliers, consulting/integrator and product partners. The role involved careful strategic planning, market mapping and identification of opportunities in our target markets.
Position reports to Corporate VP, Strategy and Business Development.
Responsibilities:
Understand their company’s product offerings, competitors in the industry, and the business’ position in the market
Research prospective customers in the BDM’s target market
Use prospecting and qualifying strategies to reach out to new leads. Identify potential business partners who can support and enhance our growth strategy in existing and new markets
Work closely with the sales and product/partner marketing team to ensure the creation of a high-quality pipeline of new leads and prospects
Successfully manage established partnerships, focusing on KPI setting and monitoring business results, while driving our partnerships from ideation to execution
Engage and bridge team communications – internal sales, marketing, product, analytics, finance and legal, establishing project teams to assess and engage with partnership opportunities with counterparties
Requirements:
6+ years of experience in SaaS/Cloud/Software business
3+ years of experience in business development roles or similar partnership management roles
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Fluent/Highly proficient written and verbal English skills
Proven experience in building effective relationship across the organization with multi-disciplinary teams
Self-driven, agile, independent, highly disciplined and transparent in managing and prioritizing multiple tasks
Professionally communicate with prospects, customers, and internal team members
Social and business acumen to allow the formation of relationships with new business partners
Experience in working with global markets – A must
Business & technological background/education – an advantage
Executive presence. Excellent presentation skills
Strong written and verbal presentation skills – proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
Willing to travel
