Identify, qualify and close new business in line with set quotas and engage appropriate resources from cross-functional teams to ensure successful business execution.
The BDM will be accountable for meeting and exceeding sales revenues targets set by Management.
Own and manage related RFQs and act as prime in ensuring timely response delivery and feed information back into Management in support of developing Business Plans.
Update sales data system with customer data, new opportunity logs & call plans.
Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
Planning and overseeing new Business Development initiatives.
Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
What you’ll need
Minimum 7-8 years of relevant business development and global sales experience
A proven track record of securing profitable new business and negotiating substantial complex contractual agreements and pricing models
Demonstrated track record of developing direct sales, channels and strategic alliances to drive revenue growth
Strong research skills and ability to analyze new business opportunities to pursue them successfully
Financial acumen and ability to understand complex economic models
Equal ability to create and implement strategies
Experience utilizing CRM systems, developing metrics and dashboards, and managing sales teams through the use of CRM tools and methods
