Job Description
We’re looking for data scientists with a passion for statistics to work on measuring and surveying the behavior of our products and the market we operate in. You will research, guide and implement our statistical methodology, invent measures to understand the data, visualize and disseminate insights extracted from the data. You will work with many teams across all product groups and enjoy seeing your insights affecting the actual development path of real products.
Responsibilities
• Apply your expertise in business understanding, data mining, and the presentation of data to be able to tell the story beyond the numbers
• Manage development of new data sources, gather requirements, and establish a definitive image of the user behavior and use patterns in the markets we operate in
• Partner with product and development teams to support our product design process by analyzing related data and customer behavior patterns
Requirements
• 2+ years of experience doing quantitative analysis or survey analysis, preferably in the software industry
• BA/MS in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research or other technical field
• Experience in survey methodology and quantitative research methods
• Programming skills that allow you to be self sufficient in handling data (Excellent control of SQL and at least one programming / scripting language such as Python, Perl, Java, etc.)
• Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
• The ability to communicate the results of analysis in a clear and effective manner
• Experience with data analysis using tools such as R / RapidMiner / Scikit – An advantage
• Experience with big data technologies such as ElasticSearch, Kibana, Hadoop, Map-Reduce processes – An advantage
