• Proactively leads the Procurement Teams in all operations of the assigned region/country. Must therefore show Multi-Site coordination capabilities
• Develops and implements procurement concepts and strategies to meet the Company’s business growth and sourcing requirements.
• Participates in all procurement-relevant enterprise decisions for assigned region / country
• Responsible for the overall purchasing value and volume
• Negotiates agreements on major commodities, services and other items, as required
• Excellent understanding of international business processes
• Oversees the creation and execution of corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
• Establishes and manages effective relationships with vendors and other business partners. Manages Vendor Balanced Scorecards / KPI’s.
• Excellent understanding of importation/exportation of products. Ensures compliance through affiliation with state and federal agencies, carrier groups, and shipper organizations to effectively plan and direct the transportation activities of the company, and comply with state and federal regulations. Coordinates this closely with the Supply Chain Group
• Continues setting up a highly efficient and effective organizational structure
• Supports budget planning and implementation of a coordinated controlling process with the other Regions and other locations as necessary
• Continuous optimization of the strategic procurement process in terms of supplier development, qualification and relationship, execution of supplier audits.

• Position is key to assist in the accomplishment of profit improvement programs, cost reduction and avoidance programs; and a key to controlling costs through effective material purchasing

Qualifications
• Bachelor of Business or Science, Master an advantage
• CPM, CIPS certification preferred
• Proven track record of leadership with strong managerial and negotiation skills
• Experience in Procurement of Food ingredients and/or FMCG’s
• Highly motivated individual who can also motivate his/her team
