Summary:
The Global Purchasing manager is
responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors.
This position will manage a team in Israel, to execute the purchasing and collogues
globally, that will work under the policy and processes defined by purchasing manager.
This position work closely with Supply
Chain, Quality and Engineering and Finance and reports to Global VP of
Operations.
Responsibilities
and Activities
Developing, leading and executing purchasing strategies policies and processes.
Purchase of goods, materials and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply and service.
Leading strategic procurement projects in various areas of the business, this include
working closely with internal business owners for the planning, sourcing of suppliers, RFI/RFP as needed, evaluation and negotiations.
Assess, manage and mitigate risks. Perform cost and scenario analysis, identify cost savings opportunities and set cost reduction targets and plans.
5. Managing procurement team for day to day non-strategic procurement work.
6. Leads vendor/supplier’s selection and maintains key working relationships.
7. Negotiate with strategic suppliers for optimal terms.
Education
Ø Bachlor’s degree in Industrial and Management/Electronic/Mechanical
or other relevant Engineering/Logistics BSc.
Ø MBA- Advantage
Requirements
Ø Proven working experience as Purchasing Manager in international
High-tech HW companies.
Ø Well knowledge in Electronic systems, components and Mechanical
technologies. Experience
in signing contracts with large Electronic Manufacturing Subcontractors (EMS).
Ø Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
Ø Strong leadership, Analytical, Interpersonal and organizational
skills
Ø Excellent English verbal and written communications skills.
