The NPI Engineer is a part of the Operations Department, and responsible for coordinating project schedules and leading the transition of new products into manufacturing, in quality and on time.
The NPI engineer will work closely with other members of the Operations Team, R&D, and other cross functions.
• Lead the transition of new products into manufacturing, from very early design stage to efficient mass production.
• Responsible for on-time delivery of NPI tasks, lead and synchronize NPI-related cross-functional activities.
• Create and maintain product BOMs and labor estimates, responsible on COGs cost.
• Provide solid ongoing feedback to R&D teams regarding operational feasibility of the new projects, and their time schedule.
• Detail and control over NPI project plans (Creating and maintaining detailed NPI project Gants) in Operation.
• Lead multi-discipline teams in matrix environment.
• Main operations point of contact to all internal and external functions, considering NPI projects.
• Deliver all engineering documentation (Operation plans, work instructions, process flows, etc.), considering NPI projects.
• Leading and supporting ECO processes.
Job Requirements:
• Education:
o BSc. Degree in relevant field, Industrial Engineering is preferable
• Job skills:
o 3-5 years of proven experience in managing / leading NPI process in manufacturing company
o 3-5 years professional experience in multi discipline environment
o Experience in a medical devices industry – advantage
o An ability of technical leadership in matrix and changing environment.
o Technical background – mechanics or electronics
o Experience as project manager – advantage
o Familiar with SAP – advantage
