The NPI engineer will take part in all aspects of the product lifecycle from development to manufacturing and will be a key person in moving the
company production capabilities forward. Responsible for delivering high-quality products from R&D design stage to Operation. Lead and implement the “New Product Introduction” program. Redesign existing products, improve and implement processes and tools in the production line. Develop and Manage process troubleshooting. Address and solve design issues that impact product performance and the production line. Support all operational
teams (MFG, QC/QA, SC, etc.) and improve production and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Design for manufacturability – Improve product yields, reduce cycle times, design for lower cost (Cost reduction), etc
Analyze, diagnose, and debug complex issues
Develop, define, and implement manufacturing processes and mechanical tools into the production line
Manage, support, and implement NPI programs to have a successful transition to production
Work with the Design Team to ensure manufacturability and effective design transfer of new products to commercialization
Participate in the selection and qualification of new suppliers. Works closely with suppliers, purchasing and development to ensure design
requirements are adequately defined and met.
Ensure new product manufacturability by conducting research, feasibility testing, and process validation.
Conduct and document verification/validation/engineering testing.
Qualification
Bsc in Mechanical / Electrical engineering
Master’s Degree in relevant field – an advantage
At least 5-10 years of experience as an NPI/ME Eng. of large-scale multidisciplinary products
Familiar with FDA QMS and ISO13485 requirements – – an advantage
Experience in design for manufacturability
Experience in production and manufacturing processes
Experience from a medical company – an advantage
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, possess multitasking capability, be computer literate, and be able to work independently.
Self-learner and independent worker
Fluent in English
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
