This role in the organisation is responsible for supporting the design and development activities of new device components & assemblies, processes, test methods and equipment. The candidate will work directly with the Project Manager and cross functional teams to help develop the next generation of WS medical device.
Responsibilities• Conduct feasibility studies of the design and design related processes/test methods to demonstrate intended function.• Support optimization of existing designs.• Contribute to new design efforts of mechanical components, fixtures and tools.• Create CAD drawings, and schematics for design work processes.• Support the manufacturing and assembly of new designs.• Generate work instructions, documentation for components, tooling, and processes associate with new device development.• Collect and document data during laboratory experiments ensuring that all testing is documented on test template forms and reported in a timely manner.• Assist the R&D team in documentation and raw data post processing (graphs, tables, statis-tic etc’)

Background Requirements / Qualifications• BSc in Mechanical Engineering/ BioMedical engineering• 1-3 years of work experience in a technical setting, in the medical device industry• Proven assembly and laboratory experience. Skilled and experienced with the use of machine shop equipment, machine tools, measurement instruments, various laboratory instruments, test equipment, chemicals and solvents, etc.• Proficient in basic PC navigation and MS Office Suites• Proficient in Solidworks CAD design• Excellent manual dexterity.• Good verbal and written communication skills.• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
