Job role
You will be involved in developing multiple forms of scaffolds and the micro-pancreas, design and execute experiments based on the literature and on existing protocols, and meet regulatory standards in order to help the company to achieve its goals of reaching the clinical market.
Qualifications
· PhD in Materials Science & Engineering, Biomedical and tissue engineering
· Relevant background and experience in developing and testing biomaterials, extracellular matrix, and hydrogels.
Key Responsibilities:
· Optimize and characterize novel scaffolds for cells and islets transplantation.
· Characterize scaffold properties: physical, biochemical, cell/tissue interactions, stability, degradability, insulin release kinetics, etc.
· Design , Interpret, document, and summarize experimental results.
Job Requirements:
· Experience in tissue based-scaffold design and characterization-MUST
· Experience in cell and molecular biology
· Experience in immunostaining, fluorescent microscopy imaging and functional assays
· Experience in industry -strong advantage
· Strong self-motivation
· Strong organizational skills, creativity, critical and analytical thinking skills, strong scientific commitment
· High level of English proficiency %28reading and writing%29
· Ability to work in a team.
