• Manages and oversees overall supply chain operations, including purchasing and inventory of materials as well as selection of vendors.
• Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
• Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
• Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
• Responsible for operations ERP system data tracking abilities, requirements and reports.
• Evaluate sales breakdown to derive production unit’s sizes breakdown per forecasts.
• Leads S&OP meetings with external suppliers
• Plans and controls inventory of finished goods to meet sales and distribution demand.
• Reports the shortages and surpluses of company products to management.
• Analyzes changes in the inventory relating to supply, demand and pricing; communicates relevant information to appropriate management and sales department.
• Analyzes results and initiates appropriate action to meet business goals.
• Maintains relationships with key suppliers.
• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain related field is required, a Master’s degree is strongly preferred
• 2-4 years of related experience in Supply Chain / Operations, ideally in a Medical Device, Pharmaceutical environments.
• Supply chain related discipline, logistics, supply chain management, operational management
• Role requires the individual to be highly numerate with good knowledge of how supply chains operate end-to-end
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and operational metrics
• Some experience of managing relationship with 3rd party logistics providers
• Leads S&OP meetings with external suppliers
• Experience in operating within a GDP and ISO environment
• The role requires an individual who understands the quality implications for all inbound and outbound supply as well as logistics.
• Effective communication is required especially with all LSPs / freight forwarders
• Fluent English
