As a Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for our cybersecurity solutions and products. Responsibilities:
1. Documentation Development: Create and maintain a variety of technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, release notes, and knowledge base articles.
2. Content Creation: Collaborate with subject matter experts, developers, and product managers to gather information and generate accurate, informative content that meets the needs of our target audience.
3. Content Review and Editing: Review and edit documentation for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines. Ensure that all documentation reflects the latest product features and updates.
4. Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization by documenting best practices, technical specifications, and troubleshooting procedures. Contribute to internal wikis, training materials, and other resources as needed.
5. Documentation Maintenance: Proactively update and maintain existing documentation to reflect changes in product functionality, industry standards, or customer feedback. Continuously improve documentation quality and usability based on user feedback and metrics.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor%27s Degree: Native English language skills, or holding a bachelor%27s degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in technical writing are a plus.
2. Technical Proficiency: Possess a strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences. Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, software development, and IT infrastructure is preferred.
3. Writing Skills: Demonstrate exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to clarity and accuracy. Ability to adapt writing style and tone to different audiences and documentation types.
4. Collaboration: Work well in cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
5. Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Markdown and version control systems %28e.g., Git%29. Experience with documentation authoring tools %28e.g., Documentation360, Adobe FrameMaker%29 and content management systems is desirable.
