Responsibilities in detail
– Discover & Interview Israel based startup companies
• Get to the bottom of their core technology & differentiation
• Write detailed summaries of the meetings, technology, effectively share with HQ & follow-up
– Deep understanding of the company’s IT business
• Through internal meetings & exploration
• Willingness to initiate relations with various business units
– Identify a list of technology areas that the company should address in next several years with understanding of the company’s goals and future industry direction
– Respond to occasion specific sensing requirements in specific domains from HQ
– Locate technology/business partners in venture communities, leading universities, and national research institutes
– Develop action plans in oral and written format.
– Develop database of technology partners for effective scouting activities.
Desired Skills and Experience
Education/Backgrounds/Experiences
– Excellent skills in oral and written communications in English – critical
– Understanding in the next domains:
• Cloud technologies (virtualization, storage, public cloud tools)
• Big Data (data ingestion, DB)
• Analytics, AI
• Retail technologies (advantage)
• Blockchain technologies (advantage)
• Security (advantage)
– 3+ years of direct involvement in research & development (SW – of above tech areas)
– Understanding of current technology trends, their impact on business strategies (big picture), and their implications for senior management in creating and sustaining competitive advantage
– Established networks in VC and R&D communities – advantage
– Academic background in science or engineering
