The VP of Operations will report to the CEO and will be responsible for all aspects of direction, strategy, planning and execution for all our manufacturing operations.
Position Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the overall manufacturing vision and strategy of the company while maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards
• Establish new Operation department with responsibility for: supply chain management, NPI, purchasing, Planning, QA, ERP system
• Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation
• Hires, trains, develops and evaluates key team staff at the Operation department.
• Identifies, recommends and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data.
• Directs the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of production standards
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing and controlling sub-contractors.
• Production experience with secondary contractors in very large quantities (Production in very high volumes)
• Ability of operating subcontractors abroad.
• Ability to manage the operation of multi-disciplinary systems (from exile from mechanics, electronics, optics)
• Experience in implementing ERP system
• BA/BS in Industrial Engineering
